Thanks to our newly forged partnerships, 2016 has been a successful stage of events for JK Chef Collection and our clients. We entered onto the international hospitality scene earlier this year with a primary focus on providing seasonal world class chef talent to our clients in East Hampton, NY. The business quickly became such a success that we have decided to broaden our horizons and spread our brand to prestigious Uruguay, South America.

In particular, the regions of José Ignacio, Punta del Este and La Barra are in our cross hairs and we are earnestly preparing for what is shaping up to be a very happy summer for everyone.

José Ignacio is a small village on the southern coast of Uruguay, and has evolved into arguably the chicest spot in Latin America, favored by jet-setters from around the world. The “St. Tropez of South America” is how the real estate agents like to brand it.


Ever since wealthy Argentine and Uruguayan holidaymakers discovered the sun-drenched peninsula of Punta del Este in the early 20th century, the city has enjoyed a reputation as a playground for the elite.


The ideal phrase to describe La Barra and José Ignacio would be “almost twins”. Even though they present different characteristics, at the same time these two small districts are reminiscent of the same nearby place: well-known Punta Del Este.
